Abstract
In 1984, when it was a small factory in Zhejiang, Wanxiang Group signed its first export contract. Later, in 1994, Wanxiang America Inc. was registered. By 2003, Wanxiang was selling its automotive products all around the world, and had acquired dozens of companies in the United States and Europe, becoming a true multinational corporation. Lu Guanqiu, the chairman of the board, and Wei Ding, the president of Wanxiang, were full of confidence. Wei Ding said, “Wanxiang will become a large multinational company in the foreseeable future, with its unique core values and core competence. It will be named China Wanxiang Holding.” Would Wanxiang Group be able to overcome the obstacles ahead and reach its goal?
