As part of the ongoing Regional Economic Research for Europe series, the “Regional Economic Research Report for Europe 2022 - 2023 ( European Union)” continues the tradition of research excellence. The report serves two key purposes. Firstly, it provides a comprehensive overview of the European Union’s macroeconomic indicators and the latest statistical data on trade, investment, finance, and other areas of China - EU cooperation during 2021 - 2022. It serves as an annual collection of data and information for research on the EU economy and China – EU economic and trade cooperation. Secondly, the report maintains its research focus on various economic fields. It delves into the EU’s economic regulatory policies and explores research topics such as “How enterprises influence the formulation of EU economic governance policies through lobbying”, “The essence and implications of the EU’s multiple objectives in digital platform antitrust”, and “The EU state aid control: a brief introduction and its future”. Additionally, the report provides comprehensive analysis in dedicated research sections on the EU’s green transition model, progress in the EU’s green transition, challenges, China - EU cooperation, and new challenges in the context of the global climate change agreement.
